Bay Trail Richmond New Year Report – From TRAC
January 2, 2026

Friends of the Bay Trail in Richmond,

Attached for your enjoyment is the 27th Bay Trail Richmond New Year Report prepared by TRAC, the Trails for Richmond Action Committee. 2025
was a remarkable year. Construction began on 2.5 miles of Point Molate Trail
, nearly half of the six miles of San Francisco Bay Trail gaps remaining in Richmond.  We also witnessed the unprecedented decision
to close the 4.5 miles of SF Bay Trail linking the East Bay and North Bay via the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge. Read report for 2025 highlights and to learn what’s ahead in 2026.

Please share the report with your friends and neighbors by forwarding this email or by printing it. They may join you in receiving news about Bay Trail events and progress
simply by emailing baytrailtrac@gmail.com.

For maps, engaging trail guides and other information about the Bay Trail in Richmond, you may visit TRAC’s website.
We greatly appreciate your support.
Your involvement and advocacy make Richmond a regional leader in active transportation and shoreline access.
