The Richmond Certified Farmers Market has been in existence for 26 years. It is year round, open every Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The market is located in the parking lot across from the Richmond Art Center on 24th Street & Barrett Avenue.

The market features locally grown live chickens, eggs, produce & fruit in season. The market, run by the Richmond Certified Farmers Market Association, has one of the lowest barriers to entry for farmers, charging just $25 for each 12-foot stall space. Many of the vendors are immigrants who bring produce familiar to Richmond”s ethnically diverse population. There are free market-basket giveaways each week.

For more information about the market, contact: Steve Ghigliotto, market manager.
