A Look at the Past… a Look to the Future: The African-American Experience in Richmond.
In recognition of Black History Month The Richmond City Council is sponsoring a reception on Tuesday Feb 6th 2007 from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM in The City Council Chambers located at 1401 Marina Way South. The public is invited to attend.
There will be food, entertainment, and a panel discussion focusing on the contributions of African-Americans from Richmond and a discussion on how to use the rich history of Richmond African-Americans to improve the conditions facing African-Americans in Richmond now and in the future.
