Will we be able to cross the street between classes?

Can we walk to school, the Greenway or downtown?

Can our kids walk safely near our school?

How have others created walkable communities?

Is it possible to close a street?

How could we do that here?

In response to growing concerns about walking in Richmond,

Richmond College Prep Charter School, California WALKS & CA Center”s Healthy Transportation Network are sponsoring a

Walkable Community Workshop

Walkable Community Workshop is a nationally recognized, community-based workshop designed to mobilize resources for safer places to walk.

You are invited because you are a vital resource needed to create success.

During the workshop we will learn how similar communities have created safer conditions for children walking to school, livable neighborhoods and healthier citizens. We develop an action plan for making this community more walkable.
