From Karla Koop:
Please welcome Miguel Dimas to our staff. Miguel’s first day of work will be Thursday, 8/21. He will be working 12 hrs a week for a six-month appointment. He will be working one weekday day and Saturdays, but his final schedule is yet to be determined. Our interpretive staff will be training Miguel to lead tours at the Memorial and Shipyard No. 3 and to carry out other interpretive and outreach duties, including working with our upcoming youth crew at the Red Oak Victory.
Miguel is a 2006 graduate of Richmond’s Kennedy High School and currently enrolled in classes at Contra Costa College which include teacher education courses. Miguel also currently works as a tutor for the Making Waves Education Program and previously worked for various local businesses and organizations, including Richmond Youthworks, and as a youth organizer in Richmond for Contra Costa Interfaith Supporting Community Organization.
Please welcome Miguel – he will be a great addition to our staff!
