July 3 Fireworks and Barbecue at the Red Oak Victory
June 28, 2007

FIREWORKS AND BARBECUE: The best location to see Richmond’s annual July 3 fireworks show is from the deck of the S.S. Red Oak Victory. The Richmond Museum of History, which owns the historic World War II ship, invites the community to come aboard for a barbecue dinner served from 6 to 8 p.m. and a great view of the pyrotechnics, not to mention abundant parking.

Tickets for dinner and the show are $20 per person and must be ordered by Saturday — no tickets or reservations at the door. To order, send a check made out to Red Oak Victory with your name and address to 3820-A San Pablo Dam Road, El Sobrante, CA 94803. Or call 510-222-9200 for details.

For directions to the ship, see http://www.ssredoakvictory.org/contact.htm.

The S.S. Red Oak Victory is part of Rosie the Riveter WW II Home Front National Historical Park.
