Subject: Upcoming Public Hearing and Meeting.
Please note the following:
The City of Richmond Historic Preservation Committee will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 26, 2002 at 7 p.m. in the Whittlesey Room of the Richmond Main Library, 325 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, CA 94804. The purpose of the public hearing is to hear testimony related to a recommendation to place the Galileo Club on the Richmond Register of Historic Places. The hearing should take approximately 1 hour.
Immediately following the hearing, the Committee will hold a regular meeting. The tentative agenda includes the following:
Report from Nancy Stoltz concerning the Pullman Building and proposed district. Discussion concerning the Richmond Plunge ” Robert Strauss Discussion concerning the Pre-Assembly Plant ” Tom Butt Report from Joe Green concerning his training at University of Southern California including a few suggestions concerning the makeup of the Committee.
IN RESPONSE TO A FEW QUESTIONS, PLEASE NOTE THAT AT THIS TIME THERE ARE NO TERM LIMITS FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS. MEMBERSHIP ON THE COMMITTEE IS OPEN ENDED. WITHIN THE BY-LAWS WE DO HAVE A STATEMENT CONCERNING UNEXCUSED ABSENCES, WE HAVE REACHED THE POINT WHERE THERE MATTER NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED.
