Joy Alaidarous is honored to serve as the District Governor of Rotary District 5160, a region spanning Northern California and representing over 70 Rotary clubs committed to “Service Above Self.”
A dedicated Rotarian, Joy has been deeply engaged in advancing Rotary’s mission of promoting peace, supporting education, improving health, and strengthening communities both locally and globally. Her leadership emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and building
bridges across cultures and generations.
As District Governor, Joy is focused on empowering clubs to thrive, supporting youth leadership through Interact and Rotaract, and expanding Rotary’s impact in areas such as literacy, mentorship, and sustainable development. She is particularly passionate about
fostering inclusivity and ensuring that Rotary continues to inspire future generations of leaders.
Her guiding belief is simple yet powerful: “When we come together in service, we change the world—one act of kindness at a time.”
Lunch is $35 or a $10 donation without lunch to Richmond Rotary Club is appreciated. Use the Lunch button on the website (richmondcarotary.org) to pay for lunch or make a donation and fast-track the
check-in process.

Members are welcome to begin arriving at noon (or even a bit sooner), but many members also arrive around 12:15. The actual meeting starts around 12:30.
