The final public workshop on the future of the Richmond Civic Center will be held 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Monday, October 21, 2002, in the City Council Chambers, 260o Barrett Avenue. Whether the Civic Center is rehabilitated, replaced or moved somewhere else, the cost will be in the ballpark of $100 million. There are also opportunities to use the Civic Center as a springboard for significant economic development and upgrading of the image of the City. This is a major decision that will affect Richmond for decades.
