CLOSING WEEKEND FOR THE PLAY “SWING SHIFT”

“SWING SHIFT,” an adaptation of the novel by Joseph Fabry, written by Kathryn G. McCarty (book/lyrics for the musical “RIVETS”) closes this weekend. Performances are onboard the SS Red Oak Victory, 1337 Canal Blvd., Berth 6A, in Richmond. Fabry’s book “Swing Shift,” a collection of short stories was written in 1943, while he worked in the Kaiser Richmond Shipyards. It was published in 1982. Members of Mr. Fabry’s family from all over the country will be in attendance for Sunday’s show.
