Saturday, September 19th – Coastal Cleanup Day is Tomorrow!
September 18, 2015

eUpdate – August 27, 2015 Clean our Bay shoreline on September 19 Join thousands statewide for Coastal Cleanup Day

September 19th is the annual California Coastal Cleanup, with events along the Richmond and Pinole shorelines.

I hope you’ll join us for a morning picking up trash from our San Francisco Bay shoreline. We work hard for a great cause, and have fun! This is my 25th year sponsoring a cleanup at Marina Bay in Richmond, in partnership with the Watershed Project and the City of Richmond.

This service event is a great opportunity to join friends and neighbors as environmental stewards, improving the health and beauty of our San Francisco Bay shoreline. A free healthy lunch will also be served.

Wear sturdy shoes, and bring a sunhat, refillable water bottle and debris bucket, if you have one.

To quote Mahatma Ghandi, ” … service is noblest which is rendered for its own sake.”

Here are the locations for cleanup events in West County, including a special cleanup at San Pablo Creek in El Sobrante on September 12**.
