WriterCoach Connection WriterCoach Connection (WCC) brings teams of trained volunteers into Lavonya DeJean Middle School; Kennedy High School and Richmond High School to provide one-on-one writing support to students on their classroom writing assignments. Volunteer coaches help students develop their ideas and strengthen their writing skills. WCC’s in-depth training provides the practices you’ll need to be a strong coach. Make a commitment of 2 hours during the school day two to four times per month and enjoy the satisfaction of helping students succeed. Volunteers must attend an orientation and then complete a 3-hour training workshop to become a coach.
