NPS Tours of Maritime Center Interpretive Display!
Lucien Sonder, National Park Service Outreach Specialist, will lead two public tours of the NPS interpretive exhibit space at the historic Maritime Center on the following dates:
Wednesday, November 16, at 11 AM Saturday, December 17, at 11 AM
Come and hear how the Maritime Center served children whose parents were working in the Kaiser Shipyards during the second World War. Learn about the preservation of the school building, and view original furniture and toys. The tour will meet in front of the Maritime Center entrance at 1014 Florida Avenue, off Harbour Way S. The tours will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour, and they are intended for adult visitors.
