Sewer lateral help in Richmond

RICHMOND ” Richmond residents can apply for up to $3,000 from the city to help replace their sewer laterals.
The city has $100,000 available in grants this fiscal year, which begins Wednesday. Officials will begin accepting applications Wednesday at City Hall, 450 Civic Center Plaza in the Richmond Room of the main lobby, and will award grants until they run out of money.
Officials have been awarding on average 47 grants a year.
Residents can seek a grant as reimbursement for up to half the cost of the lateral repair, with a maximum reimbursement of $3,000.
