Revitalizing Downtown Richmond: The Main Street Initiative

The Richmond Main Street Initiative is a community-based nonprofit corporation dedicated to revitalizing historic Downtown Richmond as a pedestrian-friendly urban village, offering products, services, arts, and entertainment that reflect the community’s rich and diverse heritage. The Initiative has been sponsoring events to bring awareness to the downtown area and has been working diligently to bring investors, developers and community awareness to this vital resource in our community.

Amanda Elliott is the executive director of the Richmond Main Street Initiative. She holds a Masters Degree in Leadership from St. Mary’s University. For the past 12 years she has worked tirelessly to create a vision and a new reality for this historic downtown area of the city. Her lecture will highlight the exciting plans and activities associated with this project.
