The deadline to submit nominations for Richmond’s first Distinguished Volunteer Service Awards, which will be presented at the upcoming citywide Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, is 5 p.m. Wednesday. Volunteers will be recognized for community service in the areas of Public Safety, City Beautification, Education, Health and Wellness and the Arts at the ceremony, which will be held 4 to 6 p.m. April 11 in the lobby of the Richmond Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza, as part of National Volunteer Week.
