This is your new resource for staying up to date on the latest news, events and happenings around town. Twice a month, we’ll drop into
your inbox with Council highlights, updates on local government projects and initiatives, ways you can get involved, and important information to keep you in the loop — all aimed at helping make our community an even better place to live, work and play. We’re

Tax notices were mailed out on Thu, May 15. If you haven’t received your notice, please contact the Tax Department immediately.

Energy-based EV charging fees coming soon in July

We’re transitioning from time-based to energy-based fees at our public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, aligning with regional standards and improving
fairness for users. The new fee structure goes into effect on Thu, July 24, 2025.

Crosswalk honours veterans

Richmond will soon be home to one of Canada’s first commemorative crosswalks to honour veterans, with Council unanimously supporting a unique new design
for the intersection of Anderson and No. 3 roads.

Residents, businesses and organizations are encouraged to plant, maintain and register a pollinator garden on their property, which will give bees, butterflies,
beetles, moths, flies and birds places to rest and feed as they move across the city.
