Wednesday –

Just came in from shopping – tired & beblistered feet, dripping with heat. Kay Wolfe picked me up while I was waiting for a bus & wants me to go with some couples on a picnic out to Sunset Beach
tonight & was going to get me a date with Lt. Calton (the richest bachelor on the “rock.”) so I proceeded to get all excited, etc. – then she couldn’t get him so I’m very unhappy. Can’t think of anyone else to ask so guess I’m in for a quiet evening at home
– and on Wednesday night, too! Tsk tsk – losing my grip.

Just called Matson Lines for schedules – the following are the only ones going direct to Los Angeles:

Leave Hon. July 11 – arrive Los A. July 16 (Wed. A.M.)

Leave Hon. July 16 – arrive Los A July 21 (Mon. A.M.)

Leave Hon. July 25 – arrive Los A July 30 (Wed. A.M.)

Either of the first two I think would be best – will make reservation soon as you all send the money.

Kit came to dinner last night, then we went to Lau Yu Chai to dance – had a good time – saw lots of people I knew.
