If you are looking for a really upbeat Christmas Eve activity to get in the spirit, try the First United Methodist Church Christmas Eve Jazz Service (an annual favorite), featuring the Dan Damon Trio. This historical Church, Richmond’s oldest at 101 years, is located at 201 Martina Street (corner of Martina Street and West Richmond Avenue — two blocks west of the Fire Station) in Point Richmond. The service begins at 7:00 PM, giving you time for activities with family and Friends afterwards – or maybe a holiday libation or dinner at one of the local restaurants.

If you are more of a night owl, or want to have dinner first, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church next door (301 West Richmond Avenue) has a musical program at 11:30 PM followed by Midnight Mass.
