Caltrans is rebuilding San Pablo Avenue from 35th Street in Oakland through Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany, and El Cerrito to I-80 at Cutting Boulevard at the Richmond city limit. The San Pablo Avenue Roadway Rehabilitation Project will include:
removal of the existing pavement (grinding) and placement of new asphalt pavement
reconstructed driveways at some locations to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
repairs to sidewalks, curb ramps, and curb and gutter drainage systems
improved signage and signal and lighting standards
improved ADA access and bus stop foundations PROJECT SCHEDULE: Contra Costa County (from the Alameda/Contra Costa County line to Cutting Boulevard)
Spring 2005: Work will occur on driveways, sidewalks and signals
Spring 2005 ” Summer 2006: Pavement removal (grinding) and paving work will occur on San Pablo Avenue
