The City of Richmond celebrates its 117th birthday today, August 7, 2022. Like last year, I will be offering a toast at the Factory Bar at noon today. The Factory Bar opened on this same date in 2020. Richmond has been my home for nearly 43% of its life as an incorporated city, and I have served on the City Council and as mayor for almost 25% of its life as a city.
