| We just wrapped up a week’s visit to Arkansas. Saw a lot of friends and family, floated the Buffalo River and sorted through the family archives. Among other things, I found all the letters my dad wrote to my mother during WWII, and my grandfather’s Carrie Nation files (he was her lawyer the final years of her life). We stayed at our Arkansas home away from home, Deepwood, which is adjacent to Mt. Kessler Regional Park, famous for its mountain biking trails.

Figure 3 - We used to call this area "Land of The Little Trees," because of the bonsai appearance of its trees, but when it became a regional park, botanists identified it as a “shale barrens.”
