Recently, a Richmond Ferry patron complained on social media that they were denied access to the restrooms in the Craneway.
The EIR for the Richmond Ferry (Pages 20, 101, 157, 193 and 194) states, “Passenger waiting areas would be located within the existing Craneway Pavilion and in a designated outdoor queuing area adjacent to the proposed gangway entry gate. Restroom access would be provided at existing restrooms in the Craneway Pavilion,” and “There are existing restroom facilities in the Craneway Pavilion, which are connected to the City of Richmond wastewater system. The restrooms would be available to ferry passengers,” and “Passengers would be allowed to use restrooms within the existing Craneway building.”
Do you think either City staff or any City Council member will make sure Craneway restrooms are available for Ferry passengers? I doubt it.
Incidentally, I understand the Assemble restaurant is failing and will soon close. The pickleball operation may be close behind. |
