Next Club Meeting

Our next meeting will take place at the Richmond Country Club (address below) on Friday, June 23, 12:30pm.

Policy Priorities from the Mayor’s Office
Richmond Mayor Eduardo Martinez

Newly-elected Richmond Mayor Eduardo Martinez will present a summary of his office’s policy priorities for the coming fiscal year, as well as take any questions or feedback Rotary members may wish to share.

Mayor Eduardo Martinez was born in 1949 in Dumas, Texas. After moving to the Bay Area in the 1970s, Councilmember Martinez received his BA in Liberal Arts and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from San Francisco State. He began his teaching career in 1989 and worked in the West Contra Costa County Unified School District for many years before retiring in 2010.

Being a long time resident of Richmond, Councilmember Martinez cares deeply for his community. Since winning a seat in the Richmond City Council in 2014, Councilmember Martinez has been a strong advocate for protecting the environment, strengthening the police review process, increasing the minimum wage, stabilizing rents and transferring public money from jail expansion to public service.

Lunch is $25 or a $5 donation without lunch to Richmond Rotary Club is appreciated. Use the Lunch button in the upper right corner of the website to pay for lunch and fast-track the check-in process.

You can also join the meeting from your phone, tablet, or computer on Facebook. Click on this link to watch the meeting live on Facebook on Friday or watch the recording later.
