Next Club Meeting
Our next meeting will take place at the Richmond Country Club (address below) on Friday, March 17, 12:30pm.
How Amarok Society Women Are Transforming Their Communities Through Education
Rotary Clubs around the world are pioneering the way toward global education. They are causing a radical change in the lives of children overseas – reducing poverty, violence, and religious extremism.
It all starts with mothers. Amarok Society is proud to have partnered with more than a hundred Rotary Clubs to pursue an unusual model of education: instead of teaching children directly, we teach illiterate mothers to become neighborhood teachers. This mothers-first approach to education is transforming entire communities.
Lunch is $25 or a $5 donation without lunch to Richmond Rotary Club is appreciated. Use the Lunch button in the upper right corner of the website to pay for lunch and fast-track the check-in process.
You can also join the meeting from your phone, tablet, or computer on Facebook. Click on this link to watch the meeting live on Facebook on Friday or watch the recording later.
