As I compile these, I find two remarkable things, (1) The media coverage back in those days was extraordinary -- detailed, objective and thorough, and (2) past is truly prologue. Many of today’s controversies began 26 years ago and still have not been resolved – Point Molate, Chevron taxes, campaign contributions and the wastewater system, to name a few.
