Even though elected public service is just a memory for me now, what we achieved in Richmond lives on. Two years ago, Contra Costa Climate Leaders issued a Local Government Report card, awarding Richmond as 1st Place in progress on addressing the climate crises. 1st Place: City of Richmond -  The City of Richmond ranked the highest on a compilation of existing data based on 20 different policy and planning elements. Some of the important elements that put them in the lead include declaring a Climate Emergency, updating their General Plan and divesting from fossil fuels.

Last night, Sustainable Contra Costa followed by awarding me the Lifetime Achievement Award for sustainability. Thank you, Sustainable Contra Costa.
