Businesses all over town are concerned and complaining that there is apparently no way to renew businesses licenses for 2023 under the ill-conceived Measure U. No invoices are being mailed out to businesses.

Those businesses that want to be proactive go to the Business License page of the City website, https://www.ci.richmond.ca.us/3735/Business-Licenses.

Then you click on “Renew License.” That takes you to the “COR CONNECT Online Services and Permitting System https://etrakit.ci.richmond.ca.us/. You click on “Business License Tax” and “Pay Fees.”

That takes you to https://etrakit.ci.richmond.ca.us/shoppingCart.aspx?lt=either, where it informs you that “There are no items in your cart.”

If I look up my business license, eTrakit tells me it is expired.

Since the new RPA controlled City Council was elected and took office, the City is becoming more and more dysfunctional. These people have priorities, but they do not include a functional city.
