November 15, 2023

Some of you may be interested in following the link to participate in the survey.

While the land use policy is focused on the important topic of housing, I mentioned that consideration should be given for land that preserves or provides habitat for wildlife and further the Governor's 30 x 30 initiative: "To support the global effort to combat the biodiversity and climate crises, it is the goal of the State to conserve at least 30 percent of California’s land and coastal waters by 2030."

City wants your input as it develops a public land policy that will inform process and priorities of surplus city owned land.

Considerations:
Housing and public benefits
Community engagement
Selling or leasing land below market for projects that mazimize affordability
