MCE Facilitates Off-Grid batteries for Richmond
December 9, 2021

Another storm is on the way probably with power outages. For those who may be concerned, I want to direct you to the Independent Living Resources of Solano and Contra Costa. MCE worked with them to disseminate the off-grid Yeti 3000 batteries and they are still receiving other layers of funding to provide emergency preparedness resources and plans to the community, including off-grid batteries, hotel vouchers, transportation connections etc. People can either reach out to Ron Halog (ronh@ilrscc.org) or fill out this form to apply for other resources: https://disabilitydisasteraccess.org/

MCE continues to evaluate how we can work with these Independent LIving Center partners again in the coming year or if we can afford to buy another batch of batteries. We'll be looking more closely at this during the budget process.
