The California Transportation Commission (CTC) staff have ranked Richmond’s ATP Quick-Build project #3 statewide to receive the requested $725K grant for a protected bikeway along Hoffman Blvd. and Cutting Blvd. to Garrard Blvd., subject to approval by the CTC during their October 21-22, 2020 meeting.
With funding already in place for a protected bikeway along Harbour Way South, the City will be able to complete 2.25 miles of protected cycle track between the ferry terminal and Point Richmond as shown on the attached map. This will represent a huge improvement in bicycling safety and attractiveness along this inland stretch of the Bay Trail between the Richmond-San Francisco Ferry Terminal and the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. |
