After weeks of contentious wrangling, the Richmond City Council last night approved 15 appointments I made to the Planning Commission, Community Police Review Commission and Rent Board, bringing them all to full strength except for one Planning Commission seat recently vacated by a resignation.

The approvals came just in time for a Rent Board meeting tonight that would have had to be cancelled due to no Rent Board members.

I appreciate the support of Vice-mayor Choi and Council members Willis, Myrick, Martinez and Johnson who voted to move ahead. Bates did not support the appointments.
