On Saturday, November 23, the City Council interviewed eight candidates, six in person and two via Skype. Four were selected to return on December 7 for a final interview.
Subsequently, two of the four dropped out, at least one taking a city manager job elsewhere.
That leaves two candidates who will be interviewed in person on December 7, followed immediately by an interview with a panel of residents selected by City Council members. Each Council member will select a member of the panel.
If all goes well, the City Council will select one of the two on December 7, and that candidate will agree to become the next Richmond city manager. |
