On February 6, 2018, the parties to the federal court litigation relating to Point Molate participated in a Mandatory Settlement Conference with Chief Magistrate Judge Spero and reached an agreement in principle to resolve the litigation.  The City Council has not made a final decision on any settlement agreement and it will likely take several weeks before any such final decision is made by the parties. Judge Spero has ordered that all details regarding the settlement conference and the settlement discussions must remain confidential.
