This week The Richmond Police Department officially rolled out the Richmond Open Data website, dedicated to making data more transparent and accessible for the general public. Increasing the transparency of government business will enhance civic engagement, promote more partnership opportunities between government and the public, and make municipal services more efficient and effective. Open access to City data helps build and sustain trust by providing citizens with a higher degree of visibility into public services.
