Point Richmond Acoustic presents Chuck Brodsky in Concert

Friday, January 12, 2018 from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM (PST) Point Richmond Acoustic
201 Martina Avenue
Richmond, CA 94801

Please join us Friday, January 12, for our first show of the year with master songwriter Chuck Brodsky.

Chuck is a storyteller, songwriter, troubadour, and a modern day bard. With only his  guitar and his voice he’ll draw you in with genuine, down-to-earth warmth and his quirky, finely crafted songs. Using wit and irony, set to haunting melodies, he tells the stories of oddball and underdog characters through his syncopated guitar strumming or sweet finger-picking. His songs celebrate the goodness in people—the eccentric, holy, profound, courageous, inspiring, and the beautiful. They poke fun at what needs to be poked, and sometimes they challenge. They’re sworn to tell the truth. (See videos of Chuck in concert here.)

There is only one songwriter in the Baseball Hall of Fame - and that is Chuck. Chuck’s passion for our National Pastime and its colorful, offbeat characters is evident in his two albums full of Baseball tales. Such characters as the first white man to play in the Negro Leagues, a pitcher who threw a no-hitter while high on LSD, a catcher who was also a spy during World War II, a base-runner who cost his team the pennant by not touching a base, The Clown Prince of Baseball, and Chuck’s favorite player from his childhood who was booed by the hometown fans.

Special guests Mark and Cindy Lemaire open the show with songs powered by Mark's stellar guitar playing and beautifully-crafted harmonies. Join us and catch some incredible music at one of the Bay Area's most beautiful and intimate venues.

We hope you can make it!
