I’m excited to announce that I have been granted the endorsement of the Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council for my mayoral campaign of 2018. This is a very important and influential group.
There are currently 1,500 members of the building and construction trades unions working on the Chevron Modernization Project in Richmond where Chevron is spending $40 million per month.

Mayor Tom Butt at the groundbreaking for the 10.5 MW Solar 1 Project now under construction in Richmond, which is using workers from UBC (Local 152), IBEW (Local 302) Laborer’s Union (Local 324), IBEW (Local 1245), Operating Engineers (Local 230) and Steamfitters (Local 342).
