  Richmond Rents decrease by Nearly 10%

According to Richmond Rent Data from Rent Jungle, Richmond rental rates have actually dropped at about 10% over the last few months as Rent Control is going into effect, calling into question the basic premise for rent control in Richmond. “The average apartment rent over the prior 6 months in Richmond has decreased by $185 (-9.1%). One bedroom units have decreased by $192 (-10.2%) and two bedroom apartments have decreased by $232 (-10.4%)”
