After working hard to assure 50% Richmond labor participation in MCE Solar 1, the largest publicly sponsored solar project in California, we are beginning to experience  a shortage of local workers due to competing projects underway in Richmond, and we currently have an unmet need for additional local Richmond workers for MCE Solar 1 from now through the end of December.  We especially need electricians, certified equipment operators, and experienced solar installers.  

We are already working with RichmondBuild and the City Managers’s Office on the worker shortage, but if anyone is aware of any folks that might qualify, please spread the word, and ask them to reach out to RichmondBuild ASAP, 510-621-1781.
