Join Groundwork on the Greenway
this MLK Day!

Groundwork Richmond, as a member of the Friends of the Richmond Greenway (FORG), and the City of Richmond are hosting the citywide MLK Day celebration on the Richmond Greenway this Monday! It is the largest day of community service that we have in Richmond.

This year our Deputy Director, Matt Holmes, is coordinating the event with the help of FORG's planning committees. There will be various activities led by organizations such as Pogo Park and The Watershed Project. Groundwork's volunteer activities will include planting trees at Dirt World (a community-led bicycle skills park currently under construction on the Richmond Greenway trail) and planting trees for our neighbors surrounding the trail.

When:  Mon, Jan. 16th, 2017
Meet @  20th St & Richmond Greenway
(between Ohio Ave & Carlson Blvd)
What Time:  8:30AM - 2:00PM

There will be a KIDZONE with kiddie train rides and a junior bicycle pump track for fun family-friendly activities. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers participating in this year's MLK Day of Service. See you out there!
