The Richmond unemployment rate for June 2016 hit a new record low of 4.6%. Out of a labor pool of 52,900 people, only 2,400 are still looking for jobs. 50,500 are employed. That is the lowest on record and perhaps the lowest in Richmond history except for during WWII.
That puts Richmond lower than the California State rate of 5.2% and lower than the U.S. rate of 4.7%.
