Solène Le Van
is a young 18 year old virtuoso violinist, born in France, based in Los Angeles, and a seasoned performer, touring at a very early age with her pianist father and siblings in the Le Van Family Band.
Now branching out to fulfill her love of jazz, Point Richmond Jazz fans will get a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience her budding career before most of the rest of the world discovers her amazing musicianship. After last week's tragedy in Paris, France, we decided to dedicate this concert to the victims of the attacks on the city of Paris, and to the hope that music can help heal such wounds.
Music is the very heart of of our humanity, and jazz is the very soul of the freedom we all dream of. May our music-making be a small step towards achieving that dream. |
