About Point Richmond Music:
Point Richmond Music (PRM) provides free outdoor summer concerts as a way to build community through the unifying language of music. The all-volunteer committee celebrates diversity and promotes the arts. PRM concerts provide a gathering place for people of all ages, ethnicities, and walks of life by featuring musical talent from Richmond, the Bay Area and beyond. PRM exists thanks to the support of local businesses and the volunteers who make it happen.
In addition to producing its free summer concert series, the group is proud to help support year-round music in Point Richmond through its sponsorship of the Point Richmond Acoustic series and the Point Richmond Jazz series, which run October through May at the First United Methodist Church, and to foster the development of the next generation of musicians through contributions to Washington Elementary School’s music program. Fourteen years of this collaborative effort have been made possible through donations of time and money from local businesses and volunteers. We are grateful to our 2015 sponsors: the City of Richmond, Let's Grow Richmond, Sims Metal and California Delicious to date. Special thanks to Jim DeWitt for providing artwork and to Jay Daniel of Black Cat Studio for designing our posters and t-shirt.

HowellDevine
Blues, www.howelldevine.com
"HowellDevine plays The Music with the original feel, intent and spirit, and you can tell they love the music while delivering some real blues in their own way. The singing and playing is never strained and they play with easy confidence…they don’t have to prove anything. There’s tasty slide, harp and rhythm with relaxed vocals that all blend together for a wonderfully satisfying experience...it knocks me out to hear a group playing such good quality blues today."
~ Charlie Musselwhite
"What a pleasure to find a young band that really gets the blues...Deep and true to the roots. Really digging this record and so glad they’re on the scene. "
~ Bonnie Raitt
"We love them - they are great!"
~ Elvin Bishop |
