$10,000 solar installation awarded to Terra Linda High School by MCE! |
We're proud to support youth activities in our communities. With summer around the corner, kids are gearing up for vacation and Terra Linda High School is gearing up for solar power!
Last month San Rafael's Terra Linda High celebrated the installation of a 3 kilowatt solar rooftop system, the prize for winning MCE's 'Deep Green Solar School' campaign.
The solar array will help Terra Linda High to reduce energy bills and save resources for other school needs.
Four local school districts are already saving more than $115,000 each year by choosing MCE, thanks to our lower rates. |

We've teamed up with RichmondBUILD to train and hire employees for the Solar One Project, a new 49-acre, 10.5 megawatt solar farm that will be built at a former Chevron Richmond Refinery brownfield site.
The project will create 336 local jobs and once completed will generate enough power for nearly 3,000 homes per year!
This will be the largest solar project in MCE's service area (Marin County, Napa County, and the cities of Richmond, San Pablo, El Cerrito and Benicia) and the first MCE-owned project. Pre-development costs are covered in part by Deep Green customers.
Half of the penny per kilowatt-hour premium that customers pay for Deep Green 100% renewable energy is redirected to a local renewable development fund to build more projects like this in the future. |
