Yesterday, both Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell, and National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis paid a surprise visit to Richmond for a tour of Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park. They first met with a group of Rosies at the Visitor Center, then toured the Rosie Riveter Memorial, the Red Oak Victory and the Maritime Child Care Center as well as the Unity Park site on the Richmond Greenway where Groundwork Richmond, a National Park Service program, is a partner.
