The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is issuing the Focused Feasibility Study (FFS) for the United Heckathorn Superfund Site as a draft document to facilitate collaboration with site stakeholders.  The report is available at http://www.epa.gov/region09/unitedheckathorn.  The draft FFS presents detailed site information and evaluates a range of cleanup alternatives, but does not propose a remedy.  Please provide any comments within 60 days.  Once EPA finalizes the report and issues a Proposed Plan, there will be a formal public comment period regarding remedy selection.  If you have any questions, please contact Rachelle Thompson at 415-972-3962 or the Community Involvement Coordinator Jackie Lane at 415-972-3236.  If you have legal questions, please contact Taly Jolish at 415-972-3925.
