Candidates interested in being selected to fill the City Council seat vacated by my election as mayor will have to begin the process by completing a “Candidate’s Statement” form that can be downloaded from http://www.ci.richmond.ca.us/DocumentCenter/Index/1392 (Candidate’s Statement Form and Guide for Council Vacancy).

The deadline to file statements is January 29, 2015.

The seat became vacant on January 13, 2015, and must be filled by March 13, 2015, or an election must be held within a year.
