  Additional Update on Hacienda
January 16, 2015

The Hacienda Tenant Protection Voucher Application was reviewed by the HUD SF Hub Office today. Their requested edits were incorporated and the finished application went out via Fed Ex today, with e-copies sent to the HUD SF Hub Office Director and his second. The next stop for the Application is Washington, DC. The approval of the demolition or disposition application will allow Richmond Housing Authority to remove the Hacienda from HUD’s Public Housing Inventory and permit the Housing Authority to partner with a private affordable housing developer and utilize tax credit equity and other funding sources to address the $19 million + capital needs. There are 101 units still occupied at the Hacienda, and today we have completed the final step in this process with the submission of the application for TPVs (we’re requesting 106 TPVs). There is a relocation timeline on the final page of the Tenant protection Voucher application, which details the steps required and provides an estimated leasing schedule.
