A late start has kept us scrambling, but the TOM BUTT FOR MAYOR 2014 Campaign is in full swing.

·         Thousands of hand cards (see below) have been available for the last two weeks and have been distributed at candidates forums. Some canvassers will be walking with them this weekend.
·         Over 100 volunteers have signed up, and those with advanced skills in graphics and databases have been working in our office on critical organizations projects. We will need volunteers for canvassing and phone banking soon. We will be contacting you.
·         Yard signs will be ready next week, and those desiring them will be notified.
·         Mailers will start hitting mailboxes late next week
·          Election Day is still 54 days away, and I have already participated in 13 candidate interviews and forums, including:

·         Hundreds of people have endorsed me, and the list will be available on our website next week.
·         I have been endorsed by all three living Richmond mayors: Irma Anderson, Rosemary Corbin and Gayle McLaughlin.
·         George Miller, Loni Hancock and John Gioia have all endorsed me.
·         We have achieved our step 1 fund raising goal of $30,000, sufficient to qualify for City of Richmond matching funds. But we need  much more. My opponent is being supported with a $1.6 million Chevron war chest.
·         This weekend, I will be at the Coastal Cleanup and the Hilltop District Community Candidates Forum.
