CONTRA COSTA CHORALE
 SPRING CONCERT 2014

The Contra Costa Chorale, directed by Cindy Beitmen, presents NEW YORK, NEW YORK! featuring choral music by 20th century composers who were born or lived in New York City. Works include two pieces from The Tender Land by Aaron Copland, “Sanctus” and selections from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein, “Choose something like a star” and “The Last Words of David” by Randall Thompson, choral highlights from Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin, and popular tunes by Ástor Piazzolla, Marvin Hamlisch, and Cy Coleman. Cara Bradbury and Skye Atman on piano.
